Cow's has been named Canada's best ice cream in national taste tests, all made from a single small creamery on an island better known for potatoes and lobster than dairy.

Rich, high-butterfat ice cream is scooped into waffle cones at waterfront windows in Charlottetown and Cavendish, with flavors like Wowie Cowie fudge swirl drawing summer lineups. It's sold nowhere else in the same fresh, small-batch form.

Why it's made this way: Cow's has churned its ice cream on PEI since 1983 using milk from the island's own dairy farms, tying it directly to the island's small-scale creamery tradition.
