Baní hosts an annual Mango Festival celebrating the many mango varieties grown in its valleys, and street vendors during the season sell mango sliced, pickled green, or blended into cold juice rather than just as whole fruit.
Ripe mangoes are sold peeled and sliced on sticks, or blended into thick cold juices, from carts that multiply across Baní's streets during the region's peak mango season each spring and summer.
