The wrap itself is edible and considered good for you, not just packaging — morinda leaves have long been used in Mon folk remedies, so the salad's container is part of the appeal.

Prawns and mixed vegetables are tossed with a tangy dressing, then wrapped and served inside morinda (Indian mulberry) leaves instead of a bowl. Mon State market stalls sell it as a portable, no-plate-needed salad wrap.

Why it's made this way: Wrapping food in morinda leaves is a Mon culinary signature not widely used elsewhere in Myanmar, tying the dish directly to Mon foraging and folk-medicine traditions.
