Coffee cherries from Boquete's highlands, including the prized Geisha variety, have sold at auction for some of the highest prices ever paid for coffee anywhere in the world.
Locally grown highland coffee, brewed strong and often served with sweetened condensed milk. Roadside stands and small sodas around Boquete and David pour it fresh throughout the day.
Why it's made this way: Chiriquí's volcanic highlands around Boquete produce some of the world's most sought-after coffee, making coffee itself a defining local product and street drink.
