The pastry shop that created them still turns out roughly 2,400 a day to the same recipe.
Small bars of flaky puff pastry rolled around a line of chocolate, sold by the piece from Pamplona pastry counters and eaten as a sweet snack, including at breakfast during San Fermín.
Why it's made this way: They were first made in 1969 at a pastry shop at number 22 on Pamplona's Calle Estafeta, the street of the bull run, and are now counted as the city's signature sweet.
