Rugenbräu

The brewery was founded in 1866, and the Hofweber family has owned it since 1892, making it one of Switzerland's long-running independent family breweries.
Rugenbräu is a traditional Bernese lager and specialty beer, brewed beneath the peaks of the Bernese Oberland with a clean, malt-forward character. It's a fixture of Interlaken's mountain restaurants and is also distilled into its own Alpine whisky and gin.
Why it's made this way: Based in Matten bei Interlaken, it's one of the canton of Bern's best-known breweries and distilleries, tying the region's beer culture directly to its Alpine landscape.
