Bass's red triangle logo was registered as the very first trademark under British law on 1 January 1876 — literally trademark number one.
Bass Pale Ale is a crisp, well-hopped English pale ale first brewed in 1823, historically exported as far as Russia and North America. Its bright, clean character comes from the naturally gypsum-rich well water of its hometown, a mineral profile brewers worldwide still try to replicate.
Why it's made this way: Brewed in Burton upon Trent, once known as the brewing capital of the world with over half its workforce employed in breweries, it defined the Midlands' identity as England's beer-making heartland.
