Clericó floods Mendoza's streets specifically during the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia, the grape-harvest festival where the province literally elects a 'Harvest Queen' to preside over the celebration.
A chilled punch of white wine mixed with chopped fresh fruit and a splash of soda, ladled from large pitchers at outdoor stands during Mendoza's harvest festival season. It's Mendoza's answer to sangria, built around the region's own wine surplus.
Why it's made this way: Mendoza's identity as Argentina's dominant wine-producing province turned its harvest festival into the natural home for this wine-based street punch.
