It was never meant to taste like a normal burger — the deep-fried patty is a mix of pork, chicken and horse meat, finished with a trio of house sauces.
A deep-fried meat patty sits in a sesame bun with Bicky's own dressing, ketchup and hot sauce, plus cucumber slices, raw onion and crispy fried onions. It's a frituur-counter staple, ordered by name rather than described.
Why it's made this way: Launched by the Dutch snack maker Beckers in 1981, it became one of the best-known branded frituur products in Belgium, built on its distinctive sauces.
