The brewery sits right on Pyynikki ridge, one of the highest gravel esker formations in the world, so a pint here comes with a lookout-tower view over two lakes at once.

Pyynikin Käsityöläispanimo brews small-batch, unfiltered craft beers on-site at its Tampere brewpub, served fresh and unpasteurized. Styles range from light lagers to darker ales, all made to be drunk within days of brewing.

Why it's made this way: Opened in Tampere in the 1990s, it's one of Finland's oldest surviving craft breweries and a fixture of Pirkanmaa's identity, sitting beside the famous Pyynikki ridge that draws locals and visitors alike.
