For over 130 years Mack held bragging rights as the world's northernmost brewery, brewed right in downtown Tromsø under the midnight sun.
Mack was founded in Tromsø in 1877 and remains Northern Norway's most iconic brewery and beer brand, still family-owned. Its historic Tromsø quarter is home to the legendary Ølhallen pub, Norway's oldest bar, alongside a working microbrewery.
Why it's made this way: In a region this remote, a brewery that thrived above the Arctic Circle for over a century became a genuine point of Nord-Norge pride.
