It's named after the curled boar's tusk, a traditional symbol of wealth and status in Vanuatu that also appears on the national flag.

Tusker is a lager brewed in Port Vila by Vanuatu Brewing Ltd since 1990, and the company claims about 70% of the local beer market. It's the default order at bars and beachside restaurants across the islands.

Why it's made this way: Since its 1990 launch, Tusker has become the country's dominant, most recognized local drink brand, its tusked-pig imagery drawing on a symbol deeply rooted in ni-Vanuatu culture.
