The brewery was a small Bundaberg bottler called Electra Breweries when the Fleming family bought it in 1968; the family still runs it, and its ginger beer is now exported to more than 60 countries.
Bundaberg Ginger Beer is a naturally brewed soft drink made with real ginger root, cane sugar, and a house yeast strain fermented over several days for its signature spicy kick. It's sold everywhere from servos to beachside kiosks in its distinctive stubby brown bottle.
Why it's made this way: As Australia's best-selling ginger beer and one of its most recognizable homegrown brands, it's become an everyday symbol of Australian brewing pride.
