They're rolled by hand around a thin wooden rod while still hot and pliable, seconds after coming off the iron, or the wafer sets too fast to shape.
Crisp wafer tubes rolled by hand while still hot, sometimes filled with whipped cream, sold at fairs, pastry shops and market stalls, and by the boxful to take home from Hořice.
Why it's made this way: Hořické trubičky from Hořice in East Bohemia are the best-known Czech wafer tubes and carry EU protected geographical indication status.
