The brewery behind it, Vermeersen, traces its roots to 1821 and still uses barley grown by Zeeland farmers and malt from a local maltster just a few kilometers away.
Zeeuwsche Witte is a hazy, top-fermented wheat beer with a light citrus tang, brewed in the fortress town of Hulst using bottle refermentation for extra character. It's a regular pour at cafés across Zeeland's coastal towns and islands.
