A 'colada' is the same sweet espresso in a larger cup, served with a stack of tiny cups so it can be shared around the office or the sidewalk.
Cuban espresso whipped with sugar into a foamy 'espumita', sold through ventanitas, the walk-up coffee windows of Miami's cafés and bakeries.
Why it's made this way: Cuban exiles made the ventanita the social hub of Little Havana, and a mid-afternoon cafecito break is part of Miami's daily rhythm.
